Recently, we had the privilege of being part of an employment workshop organised by the Jobcentre in Hoxton, where we worked alongside the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to provide support and employment opportunities for those seeking to build their career prospects.
Our Role in the Workshop
As part of the initiative, members of the Crew Security team attended the workshop to share insights about careers in the security industry. We provided guidance on the qualifications and skills required to become a security professional, including the importance of SIA licensing and the various roles available, such as door supervisors, CCTV operators, and event stewards.
Our team also highlighted the training and development opportunities we offer, ensuring that individuals are fully prepared to enter the workforce with confidence. By sharing our expertise, we aimed to inspire attendees and demonstrate how a career in security can be both rewarding and fulfilling.
Working Alongside the DWP
This workshop marked the beginning of an ongoing partnership with the DWP, where we now collaborate to provide employment opportunities for those who are unemployed. Through this partnership, we aim to:
